Check your grip tension, loosen up during the swing if you hold it tight. It maybe the case as to why you hook the ball. When the clubface is closed upon contact it is usually due over rotation in the wrist and grip tension. Be sure to focus on this constantly until you get what is surely the cause. Measure and test your new found awareness at the driving range.

During your stance, have the ball positioned a little further away from your body. In most cases golfers who slice usually play the stroke into their body which causes them to use too much bottom hand creating an outside in swing motion. You may find yourself hitting the straight a bit more than you were before. Practice this often with small adjust and you will see improvements.

Aim for the right of your target if you are right handed, do the opposite if you are left handed.Give this a go only if you are still projecting the golf hook. This is still a good thing to try. Test this out and have fun with it.

Make sure that the follow through of your swing ends with your weight on your front foot. This is key. With your weight on your back foot you will more than likely hook the ball. Focus on what you are doing with your current swing. You may find with this reason that you hook the ball.
