by admin on October 7, 2009

Golf has its disappointing moments. It does not matter if you are a beginner, or a more advanced player, you can always obtain a lower golf score. The key to playing better golf is finding the club to hit the ball accurately over 150 yards . If you can hit this club well every time, your score will drop dramatically.

You just can't experience the best in golf unless you have cultivated "feel". feel is a term that means in touch. Or to be connected with your golf game in every aspect. As far as golf is concerned being one with the green is regarded as having feel. It is a important key to playing better golf.

You must make a habit to practice at least a few times a week to really lower your score and keep those scores down. In the end, it all comes down to your swing. Excellent ball striking helps towards hitting great scores. Finding a golf swing that is easy to implement and easy to repeat is the key to shooting lower scores on the course and keeping your handicap down. You will have less thinking in your swing process and make clear decisions.

So lets take a look at what you should be doing when you practice to maximize your time.

1.Try not to hit a bucket of balls with just your driver. You have got to have a plan and take your time. Try not hit through your balls to fast you will develop bad habits. Be sure to relax and take your time.

2. Golf is more of a mental game and requires great mental concentration and visualization so next time you address the ball see yourself hitting a great ball, now after the shot learn to examine your mistakes and also your perfect shots .

3. Bring a pad and pencil to record your thoughts and then review your notes after your practice session. I know it's a little cheesy but it does help, I wouldn't lie.

4. Begin your practice sessions by smoothing your swing with short, soft iron shots...working your way up through the clubs until reaching your driver. You should use full power of your swing once you have a smooth and controlled swing.

5. Create targets with different distances and try land the ball within a 2-5 metre area. Having good distance with bad accuracy is worthless and can be expensive.

Developing a practice plan will allow you to achieve maximum results during your time at the practice range.Start by making practicing a part of your weekly golf you will be amazed at the results. Take action and happy golfing.
